Agent Provocateur
Agent Provocateur was founded in 1994 by Vivienne Westwood's son Joseph Corret and his then-wife Serena Rees. The first store opened on Broadwick Street in Soho.
In 2007, after Corré and Rees divorced, 3i Group, a private equity firm that invests in mid-sized companies, bought 80% of the company for £60 million.
Between November 2007 and March 2009, the company expanded into the US, Russia, Dubai and Hong Kong, opening 13 stores.By March 2008, Agent Provocateur's profits had fallen by 18% to £2.2 million due to expansion costs. - fell to sterling.
The business entered administration in March 2017. As part of a "front pack" deal, it was bought by Four Holdings, a company one-third owned by British businessman Mike Ashley.
